Alts Cafe: Find Your Edge
This week I discuss a new crypto enabled domain platform, a micro-saas for sale and finding your edge with alts
Hi there π
Well my first leveraged trade on DYDX didnβt go to plan. At one point I was up 3% but ended up down over 10% as my stop failed to work.
There can be only two reasons why this happened.
Platform error
Patey error
Iβm going with the latter.
I think that rather than placing a trade that would have exited my long position, instead, I placed an additional short trade that would have initiated from my stop limit. Fortunately, I was on my Macbook when the price started to go against me and closed out everything. Iβll make sure I fully understand futures (and the platform) before I make any more trades!
In this weekβs newsletter I discuss:
π A new crypto enabled domain platform
π§βπ» A micro-saas for sale
π¦ Lazy Lions new roadmap (better than BAYC?)
β οΈ Why Iβm done trying to beat the best at poker
π€ Why AI content services will win

I added my ngut.com domain to the new Cloudname marketplace, as well as connected my metamask wallet.
This is because Cloudname is crypto native and are launching their own $CNAME token, on Polygon, as a way to pay for their accounts.
Iβve priced my domain in USDTβ¦
I really like the coming together of domains and crypto in the platform and within their content:
Cloudname will be doing an IDO and Iβll be on the lookout to pick up some $CNAME.

Community member grimghost, aka Yaro, is selling his modern community platform built for membership businesses, newsletters, podcasts, and brands called Playgroup.
The current MRR is $54 and heβs selling the project due to running out of budget as well as not enough time to build out a large business on a part-time schedule.
The project comes with the current live version as well as a beta version with a fully updated UI and Figma designs. You can take the project and either hustle hard to gain customers or finish up the new UI and then start hustling.
You can check out a video walkthrough of the software and contact Yaro if interested.

Lazy Lionβs recently launched their 2022 roadmap, shown above. As a Lion holder, this has made me even more bullish on the project, with real-world events, a token launching, NFT airdrops, and a whole lot more.
In fact, I think itβs more impressive than the Bored Ape Yacht Clubβs roadmap, however, the Lions no doubt copied the best parts:
I bought two Lions after Coinbase announced they were launching their new NFT platform with them. Until that happens, whatβs been happening to their floor price is just noise to me:
My plan is to sell one of my Lions after the Coinbase launch and hold the other (my twitter PFP) for the long run.
#poker
I previously said my goal with poker was to beat 500nl ($500 buy-ins).
However, after studying a lot of GTO over the last couple of weeks, utilizing software such as Odin and GTO Wizard, Iβve realized that to beat the game at this level Iβd have to dedicate myself to learning (and memorizing) as many spots as possible. Because if I donβt, then some hungry 19-year-old will.
For example, I recently played this hand at 500nl and lost to quads:
According to the solver, I should have shoved the river (and lost another $200!) which seems totally weird to me:
I donβt have the time or desire to compete to be one of the best - I just wonβt have an edge.
Where I do have an edge in poker, however, is in SEOβ¦
#contentsites
In just a couple of weeksβ time, I should get over 100 pages of content published on my new poker (what will become an) authority site, built on an aged domain from the marketplace Odys.
The info content is coming from Content At Scale who just emailed out a huge update.
First up theyβve grown to over 15+ team members. That may not sound like much compared to traditional content agencies that boast about having over 100 team members. However, this is no traditional agency as their AI is writing (or more accurately re-writing) the content; the team members are purely editors.
Next up, they are now taking keyword research a step further than the traditional Ahrefs gap analysis, by incorporating keyword clusters to build topical authority (exactly what my game plan is).
Last up (is that a thing?) they are no longer picking a top competitor page in the SERPs and re-writing its content. Now they are grabbing all 10 pages of content in page 1 in Google and pulling the best bits from each.
Hit reply or comment below if you can tell me how this approach can be beaten.
Ok thatβs it for this week.
